Meg Dean, Senior Portfolio Manager and Co-Lead of the Securitized Sector, served as a panelist at Morgan Stanley’s 2026 Mortgage and Housing Forum on April 21, joining a group of institutional investors to discuss the evolving opportunity set within the non-agency mortgage market. Meg provided a buy side perspective on the deal structures and credit characteristics Baird finds attractive emphasizing a preference for strong collateral quality, structural protections, and liquidity. She also discussed securitized segments and structures that are generally inconsistent with our approach.

The panel was moderated by Brian Logan, Head of US ABS & RMBS Syndicate, Morgan Stanley and included Chris Haid, CFA, Head of RMBS & ABS Trading, PGIM; Cory Perry, CFA, Managing Director & Portfolio Manager, Wellington Management; and Jessie Liu, Head of Non-Agency RMBS Secondary Trading, Morgan Stanley; and explored how institutional investors are navigating a market shaped by affordability pressures, elevated mortgage rates, and shifting issuance trends across non-agency RMBS.

Morgan Stanley senior leadership was in attendance, along with a broad cross section of market participants, including both investors and issuers, underscoring continued engagement between issuers and investors as market conditions evolve.
